2026 “Mountain-Minded: Discovering Forest Wisdom in the Museum” Summer Children’s Special Program

Follow the traces of the mountains and forests inside the museum, and discover Indigenous life wisdom and ecological knowledge.

In the summer of 2026, children are invited to follow the clues of the mountains and forests through exhibitions, animation, hands-on activities, and interactive tasks, discovering the forest wisdom hidden within the museum.

“Mountain-Minded” is not only the title of this program, but also an invitation to learn. For many Indigenous peoples, mountains and forests are more than natural landscapes. They are important spaces where life skills, ecological observation, material use, object-making, and local knowledge have been accumulated over generations. Through museum-based learning, this program guides children to explore the relationship between Indigenous peoples and the natural environment in ways that are observable, experiential, and easy to understand.
